Ed Koterba Morgret, son of journalist Ed Koterba and author of The Essential Ed Koterba, was nine years old when his father was tragically killed in a plane crash while on assignment. The author’s professional background is in school psychology. He holds a BA from Clemson University, an MA from the Catholic University of America (Washington, DC), and a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was employed as a school psychologist in Hampshire County, WV for thirty years. He received the West Virginia School Psychologist of the Year award in 2005, and served as President of the West Virginia School Psychologists Association in 2009–10. Following his retirement in 2011, he devoted his time to study the works of his father. As Ed Koterba’s only child, Dr. Morgret is uniquely qualified to compile the treasure trove of articles included in The Essential Ed Koterba. Today he lives with his wife Sarah in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he enjoys playing jazz piano and tennis. This is Ed Koterba Morgret’s first book.
